Guestroom décor essentials

Guestrooms are important. One needs to take care of the guestroom décor just the way one decorates the rest of the house. Think of it…how would your guests feel if your guestrooms are not well-decorated and not as beautiful as the rest of your home? That sure wouldn’t be nice! So it is important for you to do up your guestrooms in a way that your guests feel comfortable and welcomed to stay there!

I would love to share some of the ideas that I kind of chalked down before decorating guestroom of my home! Here are my suggestions and ideas-

Ensuring brightness is a must in your guestroom. Even if you are not that fond of colours; you need to make sure that your guestroom is bright and cheerful. You don’t want to make your guests feel dull and negative with monotonous and not-so-colourful décor around. Instill colours in your guestroom with curtains, bed-spreads, flowers as accessories and wall colours, ofcourse!

Proper lighting is important. Make sure there is ample lighting for reading and otherwise. You don’t want your guests to feel uncomfortable without proper lighting. Lighting can be used as an accessory too. Bright lights light up the whole place and make the place look peppy! Choose interesting lights-lamps, tube-lights etc.

Make sure that your guestroom has furnishing that’s comfortable. Tables need to be of good size so that your guests can use them comfortably. The bed has to be comfortable and so should be the chairs. Also, keep in mind not to buy furniture that’s tough to maintain as that would be a misery for you!
